Home Beans

Coffee Brewing House X HOME BEANS Nepal Coffee Project: From the Himalayas to Your Cup — A Coffee Revolution of Hope, Social Responsibility, and Sustainability
In the misty heights of Nepal’s Himalayan mountains, indigenous farmers wield tools passed down through generations, meticulously tending to coffee trees. This is more than cultivation—it’s a commitment to the land and a safeguard for the community. The Home Beans project embodies this spirit—Nepali Roots, Global Flavour—bringing Nepal’s specialty coffee to the world stage.
Nepal’s coffee history dates back to 1938, when Arabica seeds from Myanmar took root in the mid-hills, now yielding 350 tons across 44 regions. But beyond production, this is a story of social responsibility. Smallholder farmers, many from Janajati indigenous groups like Rai, Limbu, and Tamang, dominate the industry. Through organic farming, they protect biodiversity, prevent soil erosion, and contribute to forest conservation.
Amid the challenges of climate change, these farmers employ shade-grown techniques, enhancing coffee quality while reducing poverty rates by 20% and empowering women in community development. Every bean carries a story of sustainability: from “organic by default” practices that avoid chemicals to cooperative models that deliver economic premiums, supporting education and ecological balance.
Home Beans offers more than just bright, clean flavors—it’s an invitation to join a global revolution. One cup of coffee can transform a community’s future.
Next, we’ll introduce five limited-edition coffees, each crafted by different farmers, blending tradition with innovation.
